Amic Bedel has been crafting since 1995 a cinematic body of work where artisanal rigor meets the imperative sharing of an invisibilized culture. Through Piget Films, he cultivates an aesthetic of magnified resourcefulness, transforming the precarity of means into creative virtue to forge works with sharp edges. His work bears witness to a devotion to languages, whether sculpted in the living flesh of Occitan or chiseled in the syntax of cinema. His production unfolds as an intimate cartography of a culture in motion: from early ethnographic recordings to fiction films, documentaries and music videos that document indigenous knowledge and explore emerging musical scenes. The films « Chris, » « Bonjour Monsieur, » « La fugida » and the series « Camina, » « Còp d’Ala, » « Lo mot » and « BIAIS » sketch an archipelago of poetic acts of resistance, sculpting a living and contemporary Occitanity into reality.
